Private House

Brecon Beacons

A conversion from a former 1900 welsh chapel into a private house.

What was one large open space, is now a 3-bedroom house perfect for modern day living, large double height space lounge, top lite with roof lights.

A focal brick fire place, bespoke open tread steel staircase, with viewing valley down to lounge. Sandwiched between the open plan kitchen and lounge is the dining space which has open views to the garden.

Removing what was a poorly maintained extension to the facade freed up space for what now is a private garden. Also, by removing this extension a large opening was able to be created which features large bi-fold doors to ground and a balcony to the master bedroom.  Eventually to be clad in feature black timber cladding.

With eclectic taste, transforming what was originally a dark space is now a light, dramatic, quirky open plan home.

Maintaining many of the original features with some subtle design detailing which is a nod to its former self.
